Many believe that the dinosaur skeletons admired in natural history museums emerged from the ground in the conditions in which they are exposed, but this is not the case.

Dinosaurs is a scientific documentary that tells the background linked to the most recent discoveries of these fascinating prehistoric creatures, the largest that the emerged earth has ever known. Some, especially the carnivores, terribly ferocious, reached the size and weight of a tank, at the height of a two-story building, with jaws and teeth capable of crushing their opponents. The herbivores, for their part, developed massive armor and horns to defend themselves.

Beyond the fascination that they are still able to arouse for adults and children, few know, however, that most of the skeletons exhibited in museums are reconstructions and that in the world the original specimens can be counted on the fingers of one hand. Where do they come from? Who are the scientists who find them and study them? And then what processes end up in the places visited by millions of people each year?

Francesco Invernizzi, director and producer, answers these questions by reconstructing the journey faced by the remains of these extraordinary creatures, from the discovery in the most remote areas of the planet to the laboratories of the world's leading experts, to the most exclusive galleries and auction houses where the great collectors and the prestigious scientific institutes go to win these rare specimens.

Dinosaurs is an exciting journey told through 8K images shot in Italy, Switzerland, France and the USA following the traces of the giants of the past.
