Mâcon-Villages 2016 100% Chardonnay – Joseph Drouhin Burgundy, France $7.25 The color of the wine is bright and limpid. The nose is floral and fruity. Very straightforward and direct on the palate,as if biting into a grape. Fresh and light, with a very pleasant aftertaste. 89 Points, Wine Spectator.
Pinot Gris 2015 - Bateaux Vineyard Toledo, WA $8.50 Tempt your taste buds with the fragrances of peach, melon, and pear. What starts sweet and tantalizing ends delightfully soft and smooth.
Riesling 2014 – Lagana Sagemoor Vineyards, Columbia Valley $6.25 Pale straw in color, this Riesling was produced with a German style in mind. Off-dry with a hint of that characteristic petrol nose, it exudes lime zest, red apples, and fresh linen. On the palate, apple, lime, and pear dominate leading into a long finish with mouthwatering acidity and basalt minerality.
Cabernet Franc 2014 Terra Blanca Red Mountain, WA $8.75 Aromas of boysenberry, plum and blackberry with notes of rose petal, toffee, graphite and violet waif out of the glass. On the palate red fruits lead into a ripe blackberry, black current and dark plum core with hints of lavender, spice, ancho pepper and toffee. Brachetto-2014 Bera Italy 375ml bottle Special $17.50 Slightly sparkling (frizzante), medium-sweet, and low in alcohol. The wine shows typical Brachetto aromas and flavors of roses, sweet plums, and red cherries, and is rich and fruity on the palate. Chocolate, a notoriously difficult food to pair with wine, is ideally suited to Brachetto’s sweetness and rich red-fruit profile. Moscato d’asti (Sparkling) 2014 – Cascinetta Viettti Italy 375ml bottle Special $17.50 Pale sunshine yellow color and slight frizzante, this Moscato d’Asti has intense aromas of peaches, rose petals and ginger. On the palate it is delicately sweet and sparkling with modest acidity, good balance, good complexity and a finish of fresh apricots.
